A fine-dining burger with sophisticated toppings that you can easily make at home with store-bought Ground Beef Patties.

Ingredients

1 lb (500 g) Lean Ground Beef Patties ½ cup (125 mL) mayonnaise 2 tbsp (30 mL) minced drained capers 1 tbsp (15 mL) minced fresh dillweed (optional) 4 ciabatta buns, split ½ cup (125 mL) EACH baby spinach leaves and shaved prosciutto ¼ cup (60 mL) diced red onion ½ cup (125 mL) crumbled feta cheese

1. Grill patties on a lightly oiled grill over medium-high heat in a closed barbecue for 10 to 14 minutes for ¾-inch (2 cm) thick patties, turning twice or more, or until digital instant-read thermometer inserted sideways into centre of each patty reads 160°F (71°C). 2. Meanwhile, combine mayonnaise, capers and dillweed (if using) in a small bowl. Toast ciabatta buns. 3. Place patties on toasted buns, spread with mayo mixture then top with spinach, prosciutto and onion and sprinkle with feta cheese.

Tip

All ground beef patties come designated as Extra Lean, Lean, Medium or Regular, based on the maximum fat content. This designation is the same for all ground meats and ground meat patties: beef, turkey, veal, chicken, pork and lamb.
