  • 1 lb (500 g) Beef Minute/Sandwich/Fast-fry Steaks, cut into 4 pieces
  • Salt and fresh ground pepper or steak spice
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) vegetable oil
  • 4 slices garlic bread, toasted or thick-sliced Italian bread, toasted
  • ½ cup (125 mL) pizza or tomato pasta sauce
  • ½ cup (125 mL) shredded mozzarella cheese

Follow these cooking methods/directions:

  1. Pat steaks dry with paper towel; season with salt and pepper or steak spice to your taste.

  2. Heat oil over medium-high heat in nonstick skillet and cook steaks, in batches as necessary, for 4 to 8 minutes, turning twice or more until steaks are cooked to medium (160°F/71°C) at the least.

  3. Place 1 cooked steak on each slice of toast on a baking sheet. Spread sauce on steaks and sprinkle with cheese. Place under pre-heated broiler and broil until cheese just melts.
