Grilled Beef Burger Luxe

A fine-dining burger with sophisticated toppings that you can easily make at home with store-bought Ground Beef Patties.

Here are the following ingredients:

  • 1 lb (500 g) Lean Ground Beef Patties
  • ½ cup (125 mL) mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) minced drained capers
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) minced fresh dillweed (optional)
  • 4 ciabatta buns, split
  • ½ cup (125 mL) EACH baby spinach leaves and shaved prosciutto
  • ¼ cup (60 mL) diced red onion
  • ½ cup (125 mL) crumbled feta cheese

Follow these cooking methods/directions:

  1. Grill patties on a lightly oiled grill over medium-high heat in a closed barbecue for 10 to 14 minutes for ¾-inch (2 cm) thick patties, turning twice or more, or until digital instant-read thermometer inserted sideways into centre of each patty reads 160°F (71°C). 

  2. Meanwhile, combine mayonnaise, capers and dillweed (if using) in a small bowl. Toast ciabatta buns.

  3. Place patties on toasted buns, spread with mayo mixture then top with spinach, prosciutto and onion and sprinkle with feta cheese.
