This quick assembly dinner or lunch, starts with uncooked meatballs that morph into sliders by simply flattening into slider patties. Top with a Greek-style salad or marinated veggies, and matching dressing or change up the type of bread, salad and dressing combo to your favourite cultural cuisine.

  • 1 lb (500 g) Lean Ground Beef Meatballs, about sixteen 1-inch (2.5 cm), uncooked
  • 4 pitas with pockets (about 6-inch/15 cm pitas)
  • ¼ cup (60 mL) creamy Greek salad dressing

Follow these cooking methods/directions:

  1. Flatten each meatball into a 3/4-inch (2 cm) thick patty. Arrange patties on a rack set on parchment paper- or foil-lined rimmed baking sheet, spacing them apart.

  2. Bake in preheated 375ºF (190ºC) oven for 15 minutes until digital instant-read thermometer inserted into several patties reads 160°F (71°C). Wrap pitas in a foil packet and warm in oven for 5 minutes.

  3. Cut pitas in half to make pockets. Tuck slider patties into pita pockets and drizzle with dressing.
